Graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary class of 1996 Pastor Dan Jones and his wife Judy came to St. Mark's right out of seminary in June of 1996. Pastor Dan and Judy were married in 1966 and have three children, Dan Jr., Kellie Jones Small, and Alexus Jones, and two grandchildren, Ryan Small and Audrey Jones. Dan Jr. is a Deputy Sheriff in Marion County. Kellie works with her husband Kelly in their own company, MDKS, Inc, a Web Site development company. Kelly and Kellie are the developers of this web site. They live in Ocala Florida. Alexus is an officer on the Nicholasville, Kentucky Police Department. Before he was called to the ministry Pastor Dan earned degrees in biology and botany at the University of South Florida. He has worked for an agricultural chemical company and traveled in consulting jobs to areas as distant as Venezuela and Kuwait. He has also managed several large vegetable producing greenhouse firms and for several years worked on the U.S. Fish and Wildlife’s National Wetland Inventory project. Pastor Dan became a follower of Jesus Christ late in life and because of this has a passion for reaching out to those who have not yet met their Savior. His weekly messages are based on the Word of God and provide practical insights into Christian living in a secular world. His wife Judy serves side by side with him in the ministry and mission of the church, frequently introducing herself as “Judy Jones the Pastor’s wife.” They are inseparable and Pastor Dan credits her with being the greatest asset God has given him in ministry.
